The Gentle Arborist

The Gentle Arborist is a small yet highly-specialised tree surgery solo brand. The goal for this design was to create a professional logo with a natural, organic look.

To create the brandmark, we merged the themes of 'gentle' and 'arborist' into a single form by designing a hand gesture to gently cradle the tree shape. Initially, the brandmark design was symmetrical but after receiving solid feedback from the client, the brandmark was redesigned to be asymmetrical to better represent the organic forms found in nature. To balance the brandmark with the logotype, we have opted for a beautiful serif font called 'Alverata', which has an organic and leaf-like quality.
